Welcome to the Trinity College Net Price Calculator.

Trinity College is pleased to provide you with this state-of-the-art software to help you and your family meet your educational goals. This software will provide you with estimates of your personal expected future college costs. Use these estimates to make informed college planning decisions.

This calculator gives an accurate, detailed estimate of college financial aid eligibility. Easy-to-understand help messages next to data entry fields guide you so you can make the correct entry. You'll be able to print out or email a report showing your results.

This calculator works best when income is attained primarily through wages. For families with more complex financial situations (i.e. self-employment, businesses, rental real estate) the calculator's results may differ from the final determination made by the Financial Aid Office.

If your parents are divorced or separated, you should complete a separate calculation for each parent. If either parent has remarried, then you should complete the calculator using income and asset information from both your parent and your stepparent. Both households will be taken into consideration when the final determination is made by the Financial Aid Office.

Keep in mind the following:

  • This calculator provides estimates of need-based aid, not merit awards.

  • The Expected Family Contribution (EFC) estimated here is only as reliable as the data you enter.

  • The EFC may vary among colleges according to their own institutional policies and professional judgments.

  • The Financial Aid Office is the final authority on your exact EFC and financial aid award.

  • Special circumstances are treated on a case-by-case basis. This information should be communicated directly to the Financial Aid Office at the time of your application.

  • 10 The calculator will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Having the following items will help you complete this process:

    • 2017 Income Tax Returns for parents and student
    • Earnings statements (W2 forms, recent paycheck stubs)
    • Bank statements

If you don't have the above information available, estimates are acceptable and recommended. The more accurate your information, the better the estimate the calculator can provide.

This calculator is intended for use by U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens (as defined by the U.S. Department of Education) who are first-time college students and will be enrolled full-time.
